FragVault Privacy Policy
FragVault ("the extension") is a Chrome extension that displays Twitch and YouTube CS2 clips on HLTV.org. This page explains what data the extension collects and how it's used.
What we collect
- Installation ID - a randomly generated identifier created on first use, stored locally in your browser. It is not derived from any personal information.
- Authentication token - issued when the extension registers with our backend, used to authorize API requests. Stored locally in your browser.
- Player search queries - when you search for a player's clips, the player name you searched is logged server-side, tied to your installation's token, for abuse detection only.
- IP address - used transiently for rate-limiting and abuse prevention. Not stored long-term or linked to any other personal data.
- Page content - the extension reads the player name displayed on HLTV.org player pages so it can show clips for that player. This happens locally in your browser and is not transmitted except as the search query described above.
What we don't collect
We do not collect your name, email address, payment information, browsing history outside of HLTV.org, or any data unrelated to the extension's core function.
How data is used
Data described above is used solely to operate the extension: authenticating requests, preventing abuse, and serving clip search results. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
Data retention
Authentication tokens and installation IDs persist until revoked or until you uninstall the extension. Search query logs are retained to support ongoing abuse detection.
